Wider Haddon Estate Conservation & Heritage Walk

If you’ve ever wanted to explore deeper into the hidden heart of the Haddon Estate, this is your opportunity! For the first time ever, we are delighted to offer an exclusive, full-day guided walk that allows rare access to areas of the historic estate never usually open to the public.

Your guide, Jason, has decades of experience leading groups through some of the wildest landscapes on the planet. He and his team will take you through ancient woodland, sweeping parkland and quiet river valleys while sharing stories of Haddon Hall’s past, the creation of its medieval deer park, and how centuries-old land stewardship continues to shape the landscape today. Along the way, you’ll learn how to “read” the land – spotting wildlife signs, identifying trees, understanding habitat creation, woodland management, and discovering how bushcraft skills link us back to the people who once lived and worked here.

Moving through the landscape, Jason will transform your view of the natural world. With moments for hands-on learning and scenic breaks, this experience blends knowledge, exploration and a deep connection to one of England’s most atmospheric estates. It is a rare opportunity for nature lovers, history enthusiasts, walkers and anyone curious about how landscapes are shaped and protected. Spaces are strictly limited to preserve the tranquility of this unique environment. Please bring a packed lunch to eat around a campfire sparked by literally rubbing two sticks together.

This event is suitable for everyone over the age of 18 with a reasonable level of fitness. The walk covers a distance of around 3-4 miles on uneven terrain. It is not terribly strenuous, but you do need to have the physical ability to cross fields, be on your feet all day, climb over walls/fences and be exposed to the elements.

Please note that admission to Haddon Hall is not included within the price of this event.

Sorry, tickets are non-refundable.
