Dawn Chorus Walks with Jack Baddams

“Jack was a brilliant guide with encyclopaedic knowledge and the ears and eyes of a hawk. It was brilliant how many birds were pointed out to us either by sight or sound but I also loved the little snippets of wisdom that Jack imparted. Not only was it a thoroughly enjoyable experience but I came away having learnt so much.” – Attendee on Dawn Chorus Walk

Join us for the unforgettable experience of a Dawn Chorus Walk with BBC Springwatch presenter and bird expert Jack Baddams in the beautiful surroundings of Haddon Medieval Park!

In these exclusive events, go behind the scenes into the private parkland that surrounds Haddon Hall to discover the huge variety of bird life in this ancient, undisturbed landscape. A recent survey found 86 different species making their homes here, including 16 species on the Conservation Red List and 31 on the Amber List. For 2-3 hours, walking at a gentle pace with plenty of opportunities for observation and photography, Jack will escort you around the different habitats within the Medieval Park as the wildlife wakes up on a Spring morning, passing on his incredible wealth of knowledge about our feathered friends.

This event is suitable for everyone over the age of 18 with a reasonable level of fitness. The walk covers a distance of around 1-2 miles with gentle ascents and descents.

Your ticket includes a complimentary tea, coffee or soft drink in our restaurant after the walk, as well as half-price admission to Haddon Hall and its beautiful gardens on the same day.

Please note that tickets are non-refundable.
