Butterflies and Meadow Life Walk in Haddon Medieval Park

This year we are delighted to welcome back renowned butterfly expert Steve Orridge to Haddon Medieval Park to lead a Butterflies & Meadow Life Walk in our ancient parkland. For 2-3 hours, walking at a gentle pace with plenty of opportunities for observation, Steve will escort you through the wild pastures and along the banks of the crystal-clear Derbyshire River Wye. Along the way you will discover and appreciate its beautiful butterflies, bees, dragonflies and damselflies, as well as the many secretive tiny species that live within the grasses, wildflowers and trees.
This event is suitable for everyone over the age of 18 with a reasonable level of fitness. The walk covers a distance of around 1-2 miles with gentle ascents and descents.
Your ticket includes a complimentary tea or coffee in our restaurant after the walk, as well as half-price admission to Haddon Hall and its beautiful gardens on the same day.
