Herbal Medicine Workshop with Frances Burton MNIMH
Brand new for 2026, we are delighted to welcome Medical Herbalist Frances Burton MNIMH to lead a full-day herbal medicine workshop within Haddon Medieval Park. Frances is a fully qualified medical herbalist BSc (Hons) and member of National Institute of Medical Herbalists. She supports people with a range of health problems by tailoring herbal medicine prescriptions specific to a patient’s overall health.
The aim of this workshop is to build confidence in identifying and using herbs as medicines safely at home. Your morning will start with a gentle walk in our ancient parkland to learn about the plants in the meadows and how they would have been used in medicine and healing through the centuries, as well as in the present day. On your way you will gather herbs to take back to our Tudor Stables Studio, where in the afternoon you will make an infused oil and ointment to take home, as well as trying different herbal teas and learning about harvesting and drying techniques.
All tuition, materials and equipment will be provided and no previous experience is necessary. This event includes a short walk on uneven ground (approx 500 metres), so a reasonable level of fitness and mobility is required.
Please note that tickets are non-refundable.
